Dragon stone is a dynamic hardscape material with a flair for the dramatic. This Jurassic-looking rock has a porous texture and an intricate network of scaly crevices - perfect for jagged mountain scenes and creative planting. Its earthy tones range from light tans and pale yellows to rich terracotta browns, providing a natural contrast to lush greenery and creating visual depth and interest.
We aim to provide at least one larger chunk to act as your focal point and some smaller chunks for highlights. Larger weights will have more diversity of shapes and sizes.

Do I need to wash dragon stone?
Being a clay-based material, dragon stone is quite dusty. But we don't think washing is necessary, a light dusting is typically enough to clean it up nicely.
Oh, and do not boil it under any circumstances. Rocks explode when boiled! 💥
How do I break dragon stone?
Dragon stone is quite brittle, so you can take a simple hammer to it and it should shatter quite readily. We recommend you put the rock in a plastic bag first (and wear goggles) to stop any splinters flying off and causing harm. Safety first people!
