Key Benefits
Organic long fiber sphagnum moss.
Seriously, the most absorbant material you'll find. Capable of holding enormous amounts of water relative to its weight, making it easy to provide consistent moisture to your terrarium plants.
The airy, fibrous quality of sphagnum moss helps to maintain airflow and prevents compaction - creating ideal conditions for the healthy development of plant roots.
From drainage layers & substrate mixes, to helping mount epihytes onto surfaces, the versatility of this moss knows no bounds.
Harvested sustainably from the Peruvian highlands, this sphagnum moss is collected in rotation, allowing areas to regenerate for several years between harvests.

How to use sphagnum moss in terrariums?
Due to its high absorbant capacity, sphagnum moss has a ton of versatility in terrariums. You can chop it up and mix it into your substrate, stuff it into cracks and crevices with your epiphytes' roots. Anywhere you need extra water holding, you can place it.

Is this peat moss?
Nope, "Sphagnum moss" is actual live moss that grows on top of the peat bogs. "Peat moss" isn't moss at all, it's the organic sediment layer from the bottom of the bog. The moss is renewable, but (much like oil) the organic peat layer is not.
